The design approach focused on authentically representing Chris’s personal history and characters, while also translating the story into a compelling visual system that could stand on its own in the craft beer industry. Drawing inspiration from both aviation and the brewing industry, the final identity pulls from the Air Force symbol, and the beer Chris was extremely passionate about and created himself. Both of these elements provide the ingredients for the beer to compete on the market.

the results for the brandmark and label allow not only honoring the individuality behind the project, but also positions jp-8 as a recognizable presence within the brewing industry.
